Garden Maintenance

Gardens grow quickly and in the wrong hands can soon go astray and fail to reach their full potential. Inappropriate pruning deforms plants, cutting a lawn too close weakens' grasses encouraging weed infestations and a failure to see the gardens long term development will always limit its full potential.

 

At Company of Gardeners we have the experience and skill to see the big picture. We don't just 'chop things back' and 'dig things up'. Given the opportunity we will look after every plant in your garden allowing it to flourish individually and collectively within the wider garden. With this in mind we have developed a number of maintenance programs, allowing us to take on the responsibility of the gardens care and ensure it remains in tip top condition throughout the year.

 

We provide all our own equipment capable of creating finishes of the highest standard, and as we provide the kit, you don't have to. This alone could save you a small fortune!

Bronze Service

Our Bronze Service takes the strain away from you having to regularly maintain your garden through the summer months. Lawns are mown and edged throughout the season and all hard surfaced areas swept at each visit.

 

This is an economical and effective service, which allows you to potter with your plants, but takes away the weekly responsibility of lawn care.

Silver Service

In addition to looking after lawns and hard surfaces, our Silver Service takes on the maintenance and management of all the planting within your garden too.

 

Beds will be weeded, plants dead-headed, tied-in, pruned and tended to as required to manage their shape and ensure peak performance from them. This service will also attend to any hedges in and around the garden.

Gold Service

Commission the Gold Service and your plants will receive the best possible attention across the growing season. Weed and feed programs will ensure lawns remain in tip top condition throughout the year, and annual treatments of slow release fertilisers will provide nourishment to growing plants. Come autumn, we will carry out a number of visits to collect wind blown leaves and 'put the garden to bed for winter'.

Platinum Service

If you care about the structures within the garden as you do about the plants that decorate it, then the Platinum Service may be for you. In addition to the Gold Service, we will maintain all your garden furniture and equipment, cleaning and treating them as required so they are best prepared for the year ahead. This can also include cleaning of all hard surfaces: paving and decking, to ensure they remain in tip top condition.

The Four Seasons

If you enjoy looking after your garden, but would like occasional guidance and assistance throughout the seasons, then the four seasons service may be for you.

We will conduct quarterly visits throughout the year to attend to the gardens individual needs for the season ahead. You will continue to be responsible for the gardens weekly maintenance, but will be able to supplement this with regular, professional input and support throughout the year.

Visits would generally include (subject to season and agreement)

• Feeding programs: lawns and plant beds
• Weed control: mechanical or chemical
• Hedge maintenance
• Formative pruning of shrubs, fruit etc
• Dead heading of plants and general tidying of planted areas
• Power wash areas of hard landscaping
• Consultation with the garden owner about the coming season and suggestion actions
• Edging lawns
• Maintenance of garden furniture & equipment, staining of timber
• Planting- including seasonal bedding
• Overall tidy-up, sweep down hard surfaces and leaf litter removal
